Text of the letter:

Dear Susie,

I heard from your mom and dad that you're getting a little anxious about your tooth not coming out yet. Don't worry! All primary teeth come out on their own when they're good and ready. However, if you're getting antsy, there are a few tricks you might use:

Wiggle your tooth back and forth, but not hard enough to hurt. Don't do this more than 25 minutes a day. If it feels weird or gets sore, try doing it while watching TV or something else distracting.
Bite into lots of different kinds of food. Sometimes the tooth will come out with the bite. Just make sure you don't swallow the tooth!
Suck or chew on ice cubes to numb the gums around the loose tooth before wiggling it.
If it's just hanging by a thread, you can tie a string around it, tie the other end to a doorknob and then close the door firmly.

If all of that makes you a little nervous, don't worry! I'll wait very patiently for your tooth and I'll be happy to pick it up whenever it's ready to come out.
